Omololu International School is now inviting student registrations for the Academic School Year commencing in September 2013. Omololu International School (OIS) is committed to provide quality education of an international standard. OIS aims for excellence through quality management and teaching, benefiting their students, the community and the world. The school envisions students who are taught to be open-minded, independent, curious and enthusiastic about life and learning and who are imbued with a sense of service to others and the environment.
For the upcoming Fall 2013 Term Omololu International School will offer:
- A curriculum offering Mathematics, English Language, Social Studies, Science, the Arts, Personal, Social and Physical Education
- Foreign languages Spanish and French
- Trans-disciplinary learning by working with a concept-based themed approach
- Technology integrated education: IT devices available for students and staff
- Playground and sports facilities
- A resource center
OIS is working towards incorporating an International curriculum to supplement the National curriculum. On April 1st 2013 the application for Candidacy to become an IB World School was submitted to the IB organization. The IB has identified a list of attributes that define an educated international person. This list is referred to as the IB Learner Profile and constitutes the school’s long term learning outcomes. The attributes are explicitly targeted in all domains of school life: Communicators – Thinkers – Inquirers – Risk-Takers – Knowledgeable – Balanced – Principled – Caring –Open-Minded – Reflective.
