Currently our curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of Anguilla. In our teaching we try to focus on developmentally appropriate practices, promoting multi-cultural awareness and an accepting view of the world. Families and the school work together in partnership to provide the best education possible for our children. Assemblies, class newsletters, weekly whole school newsletters, school meetings, school-wide festivities, and regularly scheduled conferences allow the partnership to flourish. In all grades, the programme includes Mathematics, English Language, Spanish language, Science and Social Studies, the Performing and Visual Arts and Physical Education. The subject area content is still taught on subject level, but increasingly integrated with other subject areas.  At the start of school year 2013-2014 the Omololu International School will start offering more structured thematic trans-disciplinary units of inquiry as required by the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organization. The classroom teachers are responsible for most subjects, but are assisted by a specialist teacher in Spanish and also French next school year.

The IB Primary Year’s Programme Journey
